this week im starting out with my friend and gRaFF h3aD ROY ONE. hes a good ass dude that crushes always. ive known ROY for like 5 years now and hes always been a great friend to me. i hope you guys enjoy!
SOY: you write ROY, why?
ROY: Honestly i have no idea, i just thought it looked cool. I wish i
had a story for you but i dont. Some people have asked me if its an
homage to some richmond history, which it wasnt meant to be at all,
but i still like the idea of that.
SOY: why would it be?
ROY: i dont wanna explain it..
SOY: yeah yeah.
SOY: so how long you been doing graffiti?
ROY: since 2004, still new!
SOY: nice. who were you inspired by when you started?
ROY: My friends, i didnt really care that much about other writers at
first. I was just having fun with my friends. army, jae.
But really, i started in an amazing time for graffiti in richmond
watching bzee dos aker...

SOY: who would you say youre most inspired by now?
ROY: Thats tough. D30 does awesome stuff. My friends. Anyone that
really puts it out there..
SOY: i feel that. youre a real anybody who gets up type of guy. it
seems to me like you dont discriminate about who you write with. true?
ROY: Um, no i discriminate! I just have to like you. I dont give a
fuck what your graffiti looks like. But if youre down to have fun,
then me too.
SOY: yeah yeah. thats what i meant. i feel that. makes sense. its
supposed to be fun right??
ROY: Yeah! and when it isnt stop, cause your wasting your time. Ive
been going out and had amazing nights and then been then left early
cause i stopped having fun.
SOY: yeah. i feel that way with skateboarding sometimes. just dont
feel it sometimes. whos your favorite skater?
ROY: hahaha

really like mike butler and mike holland but they dont skate anymore..
ROY: yeah

SOY: ok so anyway. youve moved. happy about it?ROY: Thats tough. Yes.

ROY: Id be a lot more unhappy had i not moved. But that doesn't mean
its not hard.
SOY: yeah. good answer. ok. so what are your life goals?
ROY: I just made a list the other day.
SOY: how long is it? cause i wanna wrap this up sorta soon. haha
ROY: A couple highlights...

ROY: Work for myself. Travel the world. Have amazing flings with amazing women.

SOY: reading anything good right now?ROY: i just read the portrait of the artist as a young man. i skipped
that one in highschool. it was good, im into spiritual journeys.
SOY: me too. i hope to have one someday.
